Dr Hannah Wilson

Consultant Perinatal Psychologist, Hampshire perinatal mental health services.

Hannah Wilson completed her PhD in child social development at the University of Surrey in 1998. She went on to study for her clinical psychology doctorate at the University of Southampton, being awarded her DClinPsychol in 2003.


She has worked in both child and adult mental health services within the NHS over the last 15 years. She co-edited a book with on the development and delivery of a psychological therapeutic program for acute adult mental health settings and has published on the effectiveness of CBT in acute care. Dr Wilson has additional training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and is a Video Interactive Guidance practitioner, all of which she uses in her current role as Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the Hampshire Perinatal Mental Health Team. She has developed, supervised and published on the use and evaluation of an innovative DBT derived group intervention for women in specialist perinatal mental health settings.
